Snowmobiling and Trail Condition Reports from Presque Isle, Wisconsin

Thigh - high in snow in Wisconsin's Northwoods! Any experienced snowmobiler knows that Vilas County, and particularly the northwest corner of Vilas County, is where it's at for the finest in trails and conditions for great riding. The Lake Superior snow machine normally cranks out dependable snow from early December to late March.

A major network of trails connects all northwoods towns with the "Big Snow Country" of the upper peninsula of Michigan, just one mile north of Presque Isle. Skyview people help with the grooming, ride the trails regularly, and are right on top of current conditions. We can provide maps, tips on where to go and when, and may even be able to guide and ride with groups.

A few fresh inches today and light snow is still falling. A bunch of riders in today reporting good trails to the north. Wisconsin trails are only being used to get to the U.P. system. Groomers are still running in the U.P. and doing a great job. Adam
